The short version
You tell Also about your skills, your constraints, and your ambitions. We use that to generate your ideas, we store your results at a private link, and we email that link to you (and a few follow-ups only if you ask for them). We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, we don't post anywhere, and we never contact your employer — or anyone else. If you want your data deleted, email hey@heyalso.com and it's done.
That's the spirit of it. The detail follows, because you're entitled to the detail.
1. Who we are
Also is operated by DEE HUTCHINSON LLC, based in the United States of America. For anything related to your data, contact hey@heyalso.com. In data-protection language, we are the "data controller" for the information described below.
2. What we collect
When you complete the intake, we collect what you type: your role, industry, experience, skills, interests, the things you'd rather your side hustle never involved, your available hours, budget, risk appetite, visibility preferences, contract situation, ambitions — and your email address.
We deliberately do not ask for your name, your employer's name, or anything that identifies who you are beyond your email address. Please don't include identifying details in your free-text answers; the ideas are just as good without them.
When you pay, the payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — we receive only a confirmation that a payment succeeded, linked to your results.
We keep basic technical logs (such as timestamps and error records) needed to run the service. We do not use advertising trackers.
3. What we do with it
We use your intake answers for exactly one purpose: generating and scoring your ideas, and (if you unlock premium) generating your launch plans. To do this, your intake answers are processed by an AI language model. Your answers are sent to our AI infrastructure provider for that processing; they are not used to advertise to you and we do not sell them to anyone.
We use your email address to send you your private results link (and a payment receipt via Stripe if you purchase). If — and only if — you tick the box asking for follow-ups, we'll also send you a short series of emails about your ideas, each with a one-click way to stop them. If you leave the box unticked, you get the results link and nothing else. Separately, if you click to join our newsletter, And also, we'll use your email for that too — and every issue includes a one-click way out.
4. Where your data lives
Your intake answers and generated results are stored in our database (hosted on cloud infrastructure provided by our development platform's backend service, built on Supabase). Your results live at a private link containing a long random token. Anyone with that link can view those results — that's how the no-account design works — so treat the link like you'd treat a private document.
5. Who else touches your data
Three categories of service providers, each doing one job: our hosting/database provider (stores your data), our AI provider (generates your ideas from your answers), and Stripe (processes payments). Each receives only what it needs for its job. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information with anyone, full stop.
6. How long we keep it
We keep your results so that your private link keeps working — that's the promise of the product. If you'd like your results and intake answers deleted, email hey@heyalso.com from the address you used, and we'll delete them within 30 days. Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting law.
7. Your rights
If you're in the EU, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict its processing. Regardless of where you live, we extend the same courtesy: email hey@heyalso.com and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority, though we'd appreciate the chance to fix things first.
9. Children
Also is for working adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If we ever change it in a way that matters — like sharing data with a new category of provider — we'll say so plainly on the site rather than hoping you re-read the fine print.
Questions? hey@heyalso.com. A human reads it.
